Fighting in the Ukraine is intensifying with the 4 Ukrainian troops being killed in the last 24 hours, and at the same time as this we have the Chinese Navy arriving in Russia to take part in the their largest ever joint naval drills in exercise Joint Sea II.

First up, we are going to be joined by our man in Ukraine, Alex, on tonights Kev Baker Show and its very timely indeed with reports of the fighting in the east of the country intesifying, with Russia moving more troops to the border ahead of “war games” in the coming weeks.

Neighbouring Macedonia is now on lockdown due to what they are calling an immigration crisis – but we must remember that this was one of the next countries on the west “to do” list as told to us by the US State Departments Victoria Nuland.

I feel we really need to pay close attention to the various “hot zones” around the world right now as there is definately something big coming. What is it? Will it be a hot WW3? I dont know, but when I see tensions rising globally the way they are, and superpowers on the move, then we must pay very close attention.

Four Ukrainian servicemen have been killed and 14 wounded in fighting with pro-Russian rebels in the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military said on Thursday, as a new wave of violence rekindled concerns a ceasefire deal could be crumbling.

A notable increase in military and civilian casualties in the past two weeks has prompted the leaders of France and Germany, who helped broker the six-month-old truce, to arrange new talks with President Petro Poroshenko to discuss how to preserve the peace.

Ukrainian military spokesman Oleksander Motuzyanyk reported renewed rebel shelling of government positions near the separatist-held city of Donetsk and mortar fire in villages near the strategic Kiev-controlled port city of Mariupol.

The navies of China and Russia will meet this week for the two countries largest ever naval exercise in the Pacific, according to state run media in both Russia and China.
Joint Sea 2015 II is set to start on Thursday and run until Aug. 28 in the Sea of Japan and off the coast of Vladivostok and will comprise of more than 20 ships from the Russian Navy and the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) and includes a joint amphibious assault drill.

“A source close to the operation said navies of the two countries will join forces to simulate anti-submarine combat and air defense and other relevant missions. A joint beach landing of troops is also planned,” read a report in the Chinese state-controlled Xinhua news service.
“The source said the drills ‘are not targeted at any third party and are not relevant to regional status-quo’.”

The PLAN is sending seven ships — Type 051C Luzhou-class guided missile destroyerShenyang (115), Russian-built Sovremennyy-class guided destroyer Taizhou (138), Type 54A Jiangkai II frigates Linyi (547) and Hengyang (568), Type 071 amphibious warshipChangbaishan, Type 072A tank landing ship (LST) Yunwushan (997) and Type 903 fleet oiler Taihu.
