Initial reports had a 7.9mag earthquake recorded, but that was quickly upgraded to a 8.3 by USGS, and a tsunami alert issued. We cover the fact that Chile is on a very active part of the ring of fire that goes around the Pacific, and that this may well be a natural disaster, but being the alternative media, it would be remiss of us not to talk about the many other contributing factors that may or may not have contributed to this event.
Marty and I share our findings from over on the CERN website where it would appear there was activity at the particle collider around the time of the earthquake. Whats worrying is that this is not the first time CERN has been on and earthquakes fire off. Think back to the devastation in Nepal, and on that occasion too the machine was on. That in itself proves nothing but we feel its worthy of note and explain why.
