Was September 23rd Hype All Wrong? The Surprising Answer is ‘No!’

Yesterday was the day all the Internet predictions for Doomsday converged. If you believed the hype, CERN was going to open a portal to Hell, while a giant asteroid smashed Puerto Rico and a nuke smuggled into New York City baked the Big Apple.

But was the hype all wrong? The answer may surprise you. Because now that September 23rd has passed, many questions still remain.

Did CERN open the Gates of Hades on September 23, 2015? Answer: maybe.

After CERN announced that an experiment using its Large Hadron Collider could create tiny black holes here on Earth, famous physicist Stephen Hawking warned that black holes can be used as gateways to alternate universes.

Then Web surfers who typed ‘Gates of Hades’ in the Google Earth search bar were delivered to CERN’s headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. They got the same result by typing September 23 2015 or 23 September 2015 or 23 9 2015 or 2015/9/23.

That’s how CERN was associated with September 23rd and the gates of Hell.

CERN felt compelled to issue a response on its website. Under the heading, “Why does CERN appear in Google Maps when I type in certain keywords?”, CERN says, “Many of these associations have no grounding in fact, and are a possible result of several users renaming locations on their own maps, keyword searches, or from lots of users creating custom maps, which utilise those search terms.”

CERN’s official response is similar to a theory we reported earlier, that a Google algorithm connected the date ‘September 23, 2015’ from various cosmic disaster predictions on the Internet with the CERN location.

But the question remains: have the Gates of Hades already opened? CERN admits that its giant collider might create tiny ‘quantum’ black holes. But they claim these tiny black holes would be “perfectly safe.” Other physicists are not so sure.

Why would you want to create a black hole in the first place? CERN says it would confirm theories that our universe is not 4 dimensional (3 space dimensions plus 1 time dimension), but actually consists of multiple other dimensions. These other dimensions could be entered through a black hole.

Sounds like there might be a Gate to Hades after all.

The next question: Is New York City in danger of attack from a nuclear weapon?

And the answer is, yes, even though September 23rd has passed, New York City remains at risk from a nuclear attack.

British journalist John Cantlie was abducted by ISIS in Syria in 2012. The other hostages taken with him have all either been released, or beheaded. Now Cantlie is being forced to write ISIS propaganda.

In an article posted in Dabiq, the ISIS online magazine, Cantlie reported that ISIS had enough money to buy a nuclear weapon from Pakistan and smuggle the nuke into the United States.

Cantlie described how ISIS could buy a nuke through weapons dealers with links to corrupt officials in Pakistan. The nuke would be trucked to Libya, then shipped from West Africa to South America. From there the nuke would be smuggled through the porous borders of Central America and Mexico to the southern border of the U.S.

Cantlie writes: “From there it’s just a quick hop through a smuggling tunnel and hey presto, they’re mingling with another 12 million ‘illegal’ aliens in America with a nuclear bomb in the trunk of their car.”

Cantlie closes the article with a chilling warning: “Perhaps such a scenario is far-fetched but it’s the sum of all fears for Western intelligence agencies and it’s infinitely more possible today than it was just one year ago.”

What the about September asteroids?

Obviously, an asteroid did not hit Puerto Rico on September 23, 2015. But keep holding your breath, because according to NASA, the danger from unseen asteroids remains on our horizon. Literally.

Today an asteroid 270 meters long, officially known as Asteroid 2012 TT5 is expected to blaze past us at a distance of about 5.1 million miles. While that seems like a long way away, in cosmic terms it’s a little too close for comfort. Think of it this way -Venus, the closest plant to Earth, is 25 million miles away.

Then later in the week, on September 27th and 28th, two more asteroids estimated at 39 and 31 meters long are scheduled to whiz past Earth.

NASA also admits that it only tracks about two per cent of an estimated 800,000 plus asteroids circling close to Earth. The space agency uses telescopes equipped with cameras to scan the sky for asteroids moving toward us. The images taken are automatically uploaded to an online database. But the cameras have trouble spotting smaller asteroids, which often escape notice.

So theoretically, there could be something cold and rocky heading towards us right now. And we wouldn’t see it coming until it hit Earth’s atmosphere.

The human race does not have this “death from space” thing figured out yet. Just last June, an asteroid over 20 meters long missed Earth by 879,000 miles, less than 4 times the distance from Earth to the Moon. It was traveling at 19,000 mph.

And anyone who watches the news knows that a few years ago, a similar asteroid didn’t miss. On February 15, 2013, a 20 meter long meteor traveling at over 40,000 mph came out of nowhere and exploded above Chelyabinsk in the Russian Ural region. The blast injured 1,500 people and damaged 7,000 buildings.

The Chelyabinsk meteor explosion was estimated to be 20 to 30 times more powerful than the atomic bomb that destroyed Hiroshima. Fortunately the meteor exploded almost 20 miles in the air, or the devastation could have been similar to a nuclear attack. In fact, since the meteor entered Earth’s atmosphere with no advance warning from any scientist anywhere in the world, a Russian politician initially said he thought the explosion was the test of a new American weapon.

National space agencies all over the globe detect, track and analyze the danger from asteroids and comets passing within 30 million miles of Earth using both ground- and space-based telescopes. So why didn’t anyone see the Chelyabinsk asteroid coming?

According to NASA’s “Near Earth Object Program”, the Chelyabinsk asteroid approached the Earth along a direction that remained within 15 degrees of the direction of the Sun. NASA says that “Asteroid detection telescopes cannot scan regions of the sky this close to the Sun.”

The month after the Chelyabinsk meteor exploded, NASA Chief Chris Bolden publicly criticized the U.S. government for not providing enough funding after Congress accused NASA of not being prepared for an incident like the Russian meteor.

Whoops. Not very comforting.

Anyway, according to NASA “there is no existing evidence that an asteroid or any other celestial object is on a trajectory that will impact Earth.”

Unless it comes from the direction of the Sun. In which case no one will see it until it’s too late.

The bottom line? September 23rd is over. But the unanswered questions that fueled the hype remain.
