10 Irrefutable Reasons the Moon Landing was a Hoax

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Our culture is inundated with “official” stories.  From the Kennedy assassination to the reasons we go off to war… from school shootings to horrific events like 9/11; our Government seems to want to be the first to get their side of the story out the the thirsty masses.  The moon landing….or…supposed moon landing is no different.

While the minds of us earth-bound peasants set our gaze heavenward, imagining the great accomplishments of mankind, other powers appear to have been at work concocting a plan for mass consumption.

The Moon landing “conspiracy theories” claim that some or all elements of the Apollo program and the associated Moon landings werehoaxes staged by NASA with the aid of other organizations. The most notable claim is that the six manned landings (1969–72) were faked and that twelve Apollo astronauts did not actually walk on the Moon. Various groups and individuals have made such conspiracy claims since the mid-1970s. “Conspiracy theorists” claim that NASA and others knowingly misled the public into believing the landings happened, by manufacturing, tampering with, or destroying evidence including photos, telemetry tapes, radio and TV transmissions, Moon rock samples, and even some key witnesses.

Those on the government side of things tell us that much third-party evidence for the landings exists, and detailed rebuttals to the hoax claims have been made.  They say that since the late 2000s, high-definition photos taken by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) of the Apollo landing sites have captured the lander modules and the tracks left by the astronauts. It is claimed that In 2012, images were released showing five of the six Apollo missions’ American flags erected on the Moon still standing (the Apollo 11 flag was accidentally blown over by the takeoff rocket’s exhaust, but is still there).

On the other hand, “conspiracists” have managed to sustain public interest in their theories for more than 40 years, despite the rebuttals and supposed third-party evidence. Opinion polls taken in various locations have shown that between 6% and 20% of Americans and 28% of Russians surveyed believe that the manned landings were faked. Even as late as 2001, the Fox television network documentary Conspiracy Theory: Did We Land on the Moon?  claimed NASA faked the first landing in 1969 to win the Space Race.

The first book about the subject, We Never Went to the Moon: America’s Thirty Billion Dollar Swindle, was written in 1974, two years after the Apollo Moon flights had ended, and self-published in 1976, by Bill Kaysing (1922–2005), a senior technical writer hired in 1956 by Rocketdyne, the company which built the F-1 engines used on the Saturn Vrocket, despite having no knowledge of rockets or technical writing. He served as head of the technical publications unit at the company’s Propulsion Field Laboratory until 1963. Kaysing’s book made many allegations, and effectively began discussion of the Moon landings being faked. The book claims that the chance of a successful manned landing on the Moon was calculated to be 0.0017%, and that despite close monitoring by the USSR, it would have been easier for NASA to fake the Moon landings than to really go there.

The Flat Earth Society was one of the first organizations to take up the cause and accuse NASA of faking the landings, arguing that they were staged by Hollywood with Walt Disney sponsorship, based on a script by Arthur C. Clarke and directed by Stanley Kubrick. Folklorist Linda Dégh suggests that writer-director Peter Hyams‘ 1978 filmCapricorn One, which shows a hoaxed journey to Mars in a spacecraft that looks identical to the Apollo craft, may have given a boost to the hoax theory’s popularity in the post-Vietnam War era. She notes that this happened during the post-Watergate era, when American citizens were inclined to distrust official accounts. Dégh writes: “The mass media catapult these half-truths into a kind of twilight zone where people can make their guesses sound as truths. Mass media have a terrible impact on people who lack guidance.”In A Man on the Moon, first published in 1994, Andrew Chaikin mentions that at the time of Apollo 8‘s lunar-orbit mission in December 1968, similar conspiracy ideas were already in circulation.

Russia and China would have had a field day if they knew that Americans never landed on the moon. They monitored the entire trip. Not only the Russians and Chinese, but tens of thousands of amateur radio operators throughout the world also monitored and recorded the communications and the entire trip using triangulation (except when the spacecraft traveled behind the moon). Do some research starting with a few amateur radio magazines dated during the times of the Apollo missions. CQ and QST come to mind.

10 Reason I know that the moon landing were not only real but that we have the technology to go far beyond our moon all the to Jupiter,(1) Mars (2) Saturn 93) and the moons around the named planets(4). We went there in the 70,s and 80′s and when you find out in the future that there are Obelisks( 5) on some of the moon(6) around Jupiter and Saturn (7)and that we have been to mars (8)many time in the past do to technology(9) you have know idea even exists.(10)
