     As I’m sending this article to the Mayor of Abbotsford this morning it is only professional that I clean up this article before reposting it.  We all have our issues. Thanks. All comments welcome.

     This reposting is a RESPONCE to a newscast carried by the CTV News last evening concerning the Homeless Crises in Abbotsford, British Columbia.  It also goes out to the newly elected Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada.

     Homelessness is not a homeless issue so much as it is a result of people falling through the cracks of society for one reason or another.  On the other hand I’ve also seen those on the streets of Vancouver who choose to live on the streets.   It is an issue that needs to be resolved not just swept under the rug. Homelessness should not be taken advantage of by the blue collar sector nor by the corporates.  Like some of you, I’ve heard stories coming south of the border concerning the abduction of homeless people in the middle of the night never to be seen again.  The homeless know how to survive the hard times.  We need to take a cue from them as we enter into this new dispensation of time.  The gap between sewing and reaping is speeding up.  What we plant we will reap.  What we do for the homeless now, to provide short and long term shelter, God will remember in the days ahead.

   Not getting into semantics, may I bring to the table a simple solution? Not just to talk about the problem of hand, but to bring a RESOLVE?  Without society having a CLEAR vision to lift the homeless up through the cracks the problem becomes a revolving door.  There always is a solution to any problem as long as ulterior motive and corporate greed is put on the altar.  The one question that I would ask myself is this, “What would Jesus do if He was here in the flesh?”  For the most part it is the Salvation Army, local Churches and various organizations that provide hot cooked meals, shelter, warm clothing and a word of encouragement to those who are in need.  With the down turn in the economy, loss of gainful employment including other factors, we can expect homelessness to increase on our city streets.  People displaced through disaster from storms, earthquakes, etc. will also place an added burden on our communities. Homelessndss has many root causes that can only increase under present circumstances.  Not only do we need to come up with a real time remedy, but also be prepared to handle other changes.  A 3^rd factor that is already affecting Germany and other nations in Europe, is the refugee crises.  Only a small minority of them coming in are actual true refugees.  The majority are militant, having no respect for local law enforcement while creating a trail of left over garbage and fecal matter.  Resolving a viable solution for the homeless across the cities of Canada will also establish the infrastructure to handle these other much larger problems.

     For many of those who are involved in helping the homeless their hands are tied because of local bylaws.  Most of the time the political rule of thumb is to clean up the problem after the fact.  Prevention is rarely considered as a alternative measure.  You can ask yourself, “Is the BC government really prepared to handle the tens of thousands of people soon to become displaced by a 9.2 Mega Quake on the West Coast? Is the government in a position to handle a real time state of disaster comparative to cities that have been flattened in recent quakes this year alone? We need to be ready for the unexpected!

     God in His foreknowledge knows what is coming and prepares people of integrity and faith to be raised up in a time of crises.  Joseph of the bible is a perfect example of this.  In the same way, the Lord has prepared my heart with a VISION for the homeless.  It wasn’t too long ago that I stood outside the Salvation Army in Abbotsford.  My 10 days were up.  It was New Years of 2012.  The starter on my car was hooped.  Had nowhere to go. No job.  The only choice that I had was to leave Abbotsford.  To look elsewheres outside the city for work and a place to live.  Through life’s trials I have come to understand what it is like to be homeless.  To fall through the cracks.  To lose hope.  Even for many home owners, foreclosure is just one step away.

     Recently while living up in Port Hardy, the Lord put it in my spirit to devise an ACTION PLAN as a preventive measure in the event of the BIG ONE hitting Vancouver Island.  Many have been shown by the Spirit of God that this will happen sooner than later?  Having the time and opportunity I built a mock up of what is called the J.O.S.E.P.H. INITIATIVE.  It is an acronym that stands for a Joint Operative Specializing in Emergency Prepping & Housing.  The heart of the plan is to build portable 24 ft. diameter camp kitchens incorporating Rocket Stove technology for cooking.  Coupled with a kingdom concept that the Lord gave me in Mission in 2007, the camp kitchens can be built with an elevated base using the Relocation Platform technology.

       The elevated platforms allow for 12, 16, 24 and 32 ft. diameter floor systems to be set up on any type of terrain.  The hexagonal floor modules can easily be constructed out of 9 ½ inch pre engineered I beam joist material that can be insulated yet completely portable. The finished floor would have six sides as opposed to four. Side extensions could easily be adapted to convert the hexagonal floor system to accommodate a round yurt.  The camp kitchen itself is made up a combination of 6 Rocket Stoves and tabletop arrays set into a hexagonal pattern.

    This past spring while still living in Edmonton I used the time to finish a e book the Lord commissioned me to write entitled CITIES OF LIGHT-PLACES OF REFUGE.  It is a manual using sacred geometry specifically designed for mass relocation of people thousands of people.  The base model is made up 6 outer buildings surrounding a common center set on a 1 acre plot.  It is designed for both the short and long term.  As a viable solution for the homeless, the camp kitchen has the largest footprint with a 24 ft. diameter base and the surrounding cabins units with a 16 ft. base.  Each of the outer sleeping units would be able to accommodate 4 people each for a total of 24.  Instead of tents yurts are by far a superior solutions being off the ground. A scaled down version of the Relocation Platform technology would be ideal for setting up restroom, saunas and other supporting infrastructures. In regards to off grid power, Keshe technology would be the viable solution for providing lighting and other essential needs.  Kimberly Stoves or a comparable system would meet the EPA requirements for providing  heating solutions for the yurt cabins.

     Logistics would have to be worked out for onsite staff.  Rules employed by the Salvation Army would be necessary to keep order in the camp. Providing a hand up and not just a hand out is the rule of thumb.  It’s not a free ride. This vision is greater than any single personnand that is one of giving. Secondary camps could be provided for those who have deeper issues, who want to remain where they are.  At the same time the door is kept open for those who come to the place of being tired of living in a rut. Incentive needs to be established where the homeless can be raised up and trained to help the homeless in other cities.  Those who are semi skilled would be an alternative labor solution to building camps to be set up in other places and cities.

    I’m willing to volunteer my time, talents and abilities to put together a team to build a yurt camp for the homeless and to bring it to fruition. These camps would be a prototype of sorts.  An example of the homeless helping the homeless. Providing off grid, green and yet fully sustainable and portable communities.  A Canadian concept of love and hope.  My hat goes off to all those who would partner with this vision God has put in my heart. It is my prayer that the Abbotsford City Council will consider the vision along with the kingdom technologies as a practical solution for the homeless of this nation of Canada.  God loves the street people.  He has a plan to lift them up and to make them His.  How about you?
