There are fears that the uptick in violence seen in the past week in Jerusalem and surrounding areas has led to fears over a wider conflict in the area. After the bloodshed in the last conflict, the last thing Gaza needs right now is another military seige and bombardment!
This comes at a time when the entire middle east is on the verge of erupting into full out war.

Early on Saturday morning Israeli police confirmed two Israelis had been injured following an attempted stabbing outside the Old City of Jerusalem. The suspected attacker was shot dead at the scene.
Overnight sirens sounded in southern Israel as two rockets were fired from the Gaza strip, landing in open ground. No injuries were reported.
The rockets followed the deaths of seven Palestinians, killed by Israeli soldiers as around a thousand Gazans demonstrated along the enclave’s border fence on Friday in solidarity with Palestinians in Jerusalem and the West Bank.

The following clip from Oct 4th shows Al Mayadeen TV journalist Hana Mahameed caught in crossfire in Jerusalem while reporting clashes in the West Bank, and was injured by a stun grenade.
Lets hope this doesn’t lead to some wider conflict in the area. Gaza and the Palestinian people are still trying as best they can to rebuild their lives from the rubble of the previous onslaughts from their Zionist enemies.
