A Secret Service officer who was on leave following an April burglary arrest was shot and killed in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday afternoon.

Police told Fox 5 DC that the agent officer was shot around 2:45 on Tuesday afternoon in Southwest D.C. A spokeswoman for the Secret Service confirmed to the Washington Post that Arthur Baldwin, a member of the Service’s uniformed division, was killed on Tuesday.

“We are aware he was killed,” the spokeswoman said. “We express our condolences to his family.”

Police told the Washington Post that they are looking for three men in connection with the shooting.
