I often say that “you couldnt make this up”, and its true, nor do we ever need to make up the ridiculous stories that come our way, and here is one such tale.

In response to Kim Jong Un (i will call him Crazy Horse from this point forward) launching a satelitte atop of a ballistic missile into space, the South Koreans have been scrambling to respond.

One suggestsion comes from Won Yoo-chul, floor leader for the ruling Saenuri party, said Seoul needed the “peaceful” weapons to deter Pyongyang from using its “fearful and self-destructive” ones.

Peaceful nuclear weapons? WTF!

So what are we talking about here exactly? Are they swapping out the uranium warheads from some laughing gas? Will doves emerge from the missiles come impact time? Or do they just kill with a soft touch, you know, from one of those governments that just love you!

Seriously, if this is anything to go by we are now living in Orwells vision of 1984.

If this isnt an example of “Doublespeak” then I honestly dont know what is.

Double speak is used to make unpleasent or negative situations or tasks not sound quite as awful.

Another couple of examples would be…

• Enhanced Interrogation = Torture
• Collateral Damage = Dead civilians
• Pre-emptive Strike = Unprovoked attack

Its like when they tell us the stock markets are all fine despite our eyes showing us everything is crashing down and flashing in red!

But hey, peaceful nuclear weapons, thats the way to go!

What will all those CND and anti-nuclear protesters get angry at if this trend is adopted by every country?

In the video I talk about the fact that its just a smidgen hypocritical for our governments here in the west to be condemning any other country for daring to carry out the same kind of missile launches routinely, with no permission sought from the international community.

This is not intended to come across as my support for Crazy Horse in N.Korea, far from it. I merely making a point on the double standards practiced by our so-called benevolent leaders.
