Islamists Post ‘Kill List’ Targeting Jersey Cops, But Obama Priority is Muslim Refugee Plan +Video
By Jim Kouri
A group that supports the jihadist group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) reportedly posted on radical Islamic Internet web sites a “hit list” of American police officers they want killed by homegrown or lone-wolf terrorists. This latest “kill list” targets officers with the New Jersey Transit Police Department.
As with some past incidents of terrorist activity in the United States or allied nations, President Barack Obama failed to mention this latest threat made against the men and women of American law enforcement. However, he did make statements regarding the bringing of thousands of Syrian and Iraqi refugees into U.S. communities and denigrated those who didn’t agree with his plan.
Obama’s refugee plan has created even more division in the U.S. in recent months, with surveys revealing that a sizable majority of Americans are opposed to bringing in legions of Muslims from terrorist-infested countries.
The NJ Transit Police specializes in counterterrorism and intelligence.
The cop-threatening, cyber-terrorist hackers, who claim they’re affiliated with the notorious ISIS, released a similar “hit list” last week that provided the names of at least 36 Minnesota law enforcement officers complete with personal details about those targeted cops.
A group calling itself the “Caliphate Cyber Army” (CCA) are taking responsibility for posting the full names, home addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers of the targeted New Jersey police officers.
According to police organizations such as the National Association of Chiefs of Police (NACOP) and the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), the group of hackers affiliated with ISIS in the past hacked into the computer records containing the confidential information of American police and security officials.
In 2015, Islamic terrorists launched a similar attack when they hacked into the social media web site Twitter to penetrate the account of the U.S. military’s Central Command (CentCom). Last Fall, a group calling itself the “Islamic State Cyber Army” (ISCA) released the names and addresses of men and women who worked for American security agencies, especially those providing contractors to branches of the military, law enforcement agencies and the intelligence community overseas, such as the victims of the Battle of Benghazi in Sept. 11, 2012.
Also, in the past, ISIS would post the names and other details of American soldiers, Marines, sailors and airmen at the conclusion of jihadist videos of beheadings and executions. They would then urges viewers of the videos to search and kill those listed.
Officers and commanders with the New Jersey Transit Police Department are charged with maintaining “public order and safety while deterring and preventing terrorism and crime throughout the N.J. Transit system,” according to the agency’s web site. “We will accomplish our mission through intelligence led policing and counter-terrorism based approaches in all of our policing strategies.”
