IS THERE LIFE ON MARS?

The European Space Agency & the Russians have launched a mission that will use cutting edge technology to detect trace elements of chemicals in the martian atmosphere. They are focusing on methane, as this would indicate some kind of life, past or PRESENT, albeit microbial, on the martian surface.

A joint European and Russian space mission is heading to Mars.

Launched from Baikonur in Kazakhstan, the ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO) will study methane and other rare gases in the Red Planet’s atmosphere, and also drop a lander on its surface.

Controllers received a signal from the probe late on Monday, confirming it was in good health.

Analysis of tracking data indicated that the 4.3-tonne orbiter was on a good trajectory as well.

The European Space Agency’s Micah Schmidt, speaking from the organisation’s operations centre in Darmstadt, Germany, announced the good news: “We have AOS – acquisition of signal; we have a mission. And for the second time, Europe is going to Mars. So, Go, Go Go! ExoMars!”

Esa’s director general, Jan Woerner, added: “We are on the way to Mars and this is really a very nice experience, to have this inspiring mission now realised. Let’s go forward to Mars and see what we can do.”

SPHINX ON MARS ?

We stick with Mars on the show and discuss the recent “discovery” of a Sphinx like structure on the surface of the red planet.

The Daily Mail reports….

Space enthusiasts watching the Curiosity rover roam the surface of Mars claim they have spotted evidence of a statue of a sphinx on the Red Planet.

NASA has been beaming photos from space since their mobile robot Curiosity landed there in August 2012.

Keen-eyed amateur astronomer Joe White, 45, noticed a chuck of rock in the footage which looks bizarrely like an enormous long statue, complete with head.

Did another civilization once live on Mars?

Could there be ancient technology, and new, that can take us back there?

We discuss stargates, and the fact that Saddam Hussien was determined to rebuild Babylon, complete with the much talked about Tower Of Babel.

Some say this was an ancient device to talk to the Gods, to reach into the heavens. Is that literally what we are talking about here? A communication and transportation device to other worlds, dimensions and beyond?

Maybe, maybe not! But dont discount it too quicky, as the US Army took the whole matter serious enough to send crack troops to Tikrit, Saddams home base, to retrieve ancient artifacts that had been gathered by the dictator. They raided the museums of Iraq before they even secured the field of black gold – the oil wells that were set alight as a scorched earth tactic as the western forces advanced.

Could well be the case that there is a more modern, technological form of stargate technology, and it comes in the form of particle accelerators.

Pure speculation on my part admittedly, but think of how many times directors of movies and shows seize upon just this idea – that these machines can literally rip holes on the fabric of space/time to access the timeline!

Hold on, was that the directors saying that? Or the scientists that are on the cutting edge of this science? BOTH!
