NY stepdad charged after using BB gun to punish young daughters (VIDEO)
A 29-year-old stepfather from Buffalo, New York, is facing felony charges after authorities discovered he had been shooting his two young stepdaughters with a BB gun as a form of punishment.
The girls’ biological father took them to the emergency room after noticing unsettling wounds on the legs and backs of the four and 6-year-old girls, who previously said the wounds were bug bites at the instruction of their stepdad who said nobody needed to know about the BB gun.
Medical staff called the police, who, in turn, launched an investigation. Steven Scroger later admitted to shooting the girls and handed over the BB gun.
The girls, along with their 1-year-old sister who appeared to be uninjured, were removed from the home. Authorities are investigating the possibility that the girls’ mother was also being abused.
Scroger is being held on a $7,5000 bond and is charged with multiple felonies.
