Rhythm Temporarily Disrupted

Spring has come to this coast and the avocado trees are in bloom.

Tourist buses are driving up the hill with Japanese filming almost everything. They have them selfie sticks and the canyons are deep. Well, one more or less on the bus down…

This Easter holiday will end shortly and then the real season will kick in late May until late August.

I had to move so I decided to change village, now living uphill in heritage surroundings and it is pretty. I rent – which doesn’t tie you down financially.

The reason I had to move was that the prior rental revealed a big mold problem, which the owner cleverly hid behind some fresh painting. I’m highly allergic to mold – so it took me down and I’m still recovering from the toxins, which is the reason I haven’t written a lot. Thank you for your patience.

Spring took a while to manifest, and it seems to be somehow artificial.

The newspapers all reported that Spain was in for a very wet and windy Easter, which is not good for tourism. Then it suddenly got warm and sunny.

To my surprise a taxa driver, whom I know very well, said: ‘Do you know about the chemtrails?’

I said, yes I do in general, why do you ask.

“Ohh, people write on the city’s Facebook page that they were spraying because of the rain and the clouds so the tourist can get the good weather they expect and come down for their Easter vacation.’ He continued: ‘It’s not good for the crops, they need the water, what are they thinking.’”
He has a small avocado plantation in the ‘campo’ (countryside) and the last 4 years this part of Spain know as the Costa, has been in a drought.

I have touched upon that before since it’s basically the same crops that they have in California: Almonds, Avocado, Olive Oil, Wine and such. What a con-incidence.

The rhythm of the sun in sync with the mountains often leaves me breathless. So much beauty to absorb. I usually get up very early, and I know exactly when the first rays of sun will beam over the mountaintop due east and cast it rays on the white houses on the western mountainside. I know exactly when the first birds start chirping and I know when the sun reaches my morning coffee table.

I’m writing this on the day before the daylight saving shift, so tomorrow my Zen with nature and the movement of the sun will be sabotaged.
