Fresno Police Assault Man for Not Giving Up His Keys

A video posted on Facebook shows an undercover officer and an uniformed motorcycle cop, with the Fresno police department, attack a man for not giving up his keys on Easter Sunday. The man’s brother recorded the incident with a cell phone camera.

So this what happened to me on Easter Sunday on Blackstone, I wasn’t doing nothing wrong at all! But according to the cops I was “reckless driving”, when my truck was literally parked and off. I was already taking off(leaving) till the under cover cop with that cap told me to park my truck again and to give him my keys and that’s when I was resisting to give him my keys cause I was scared cause I did not do nothing wrong and that’s when the cop started kicking me and hitting me to get on the ground.

In the statement the man maintains that his truck was off until he was ready to leave. That’s exactly what he claims he was doing when the undercover told him his driving was reckless and he needed to park his car and cough up the keys.

After they are done assaulting the man, the bike cop turns to the crowd that has gathered to watch them abuse on of their friends and fellow auto enthusiast. He yells for them to get back and claim but the authority in his voice drains with every sentence as the realization that the crowd isn’t going anywhere sets in.

The video ends with the man being led away in cuffs.

Long have the police been targeting the Sunday night cruise night as a method of generating revenue for victimless crimes including but not limited to, speeding, registration, lack of insurance and a plethora of other victimless vehicle code violations that serve no actual safety purpose and exist solely to generate revenue in order to grease the wheels of the machine.

Although the presence of cameras did not stop this man from suffering a beating at the hands of Fresno’s Finest there now exists objective evidence of the violence the Fresno police will employ in order to gain your consent in their extortion racket. It’s not always possible to prevent state violence but at least when you create a record of it, the shining light of transparency can show people the true realities of our enemies in blue.
