The Truth about Israel

The modern state of Israel is not in favor with God, nor can it be without a temple. The real Israel of God went out of favor circa A.D. 61 [according to Dr. C. I. Scofield] when God transferred His salvation program to Gentiles.

Acts 28:23-29, “And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. (24) And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not. (25) And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers, (26) Saying, Go unto this people, and say,Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: (27) For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. (28) Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. (29) And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.”

Notice that the apostle Paul quotes the dreaded curse of Isaiah 6:9, 10 here in Acts 28:25-27, followed by the declaration that the “Salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.” This major change caused “Great Reasoning” among the Jews because God’s salvation had been “… Of the Jews” [John 4:22] for some 2000 years – since the time of Abraham!

1 Thessalonians 2:14-16, “For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: (15) Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: (16) Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.”

After this declaration, God never dealt with Jews again and the nation of Israel went out of existence for some 1900 years. However, on May 14, 1948 the United Nations General Assembly granted statehood to modern Israel, which led to the false conclusion that the real Israel was back in favor with God!

Even if the real Israel had been re-established on May 14, 1948 – it would have gone right back out of favor with God on May 15, 1948 because there was no temple in which to perform the daily sacrifice. Therefore, the real Israel is still out of favor with God.

The real Israel cannot exist unless the Law of Moses is in effect for salvation, which necessitates the existence of God’s Temple for the keeping of that Law.

Today, the Law of Moses has been abolished for salvation as follows: Ephesians 2:15, “Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;”

Colossians 2:14, “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;”

Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (9) Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

After the Church of today has departed to be with Christ, God’s Special Program will be complete and will end abruptly. God will then restore time back to where it was at the beginning of our Special Church Program for today and Israel, the real Israel, will be restored back into His favor.

Note: after our Special Church Program today ends, the only way to be saved will be through the Jewish program’s Messianic Gospel, which requires enduring to the end of the Great Tribulation. Matthew 24:13, 21 “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.… (21) For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”

This is because Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross has not yet been applied to Israel as a nation, and won’t be until after the 70th week of Daniel. Daniel 9:24, “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.”
