CrossBreed Gideon: a new design for mag carry

Missouri-based CrossBreed Holsters used the occasion of May’s NRA annual meeting to unveil a new product with a new name.
“Gideon” is the name of a new magazine carrier made to ride in a pocket. CrossBreed chose the name from many submitted during a naming contest for the new product.
Frank Maschoff, Jr. gave the Gideon its name. In addition to a modicum of fame, Maschoff will be the first owner of a new Gideon. In a Facebook post, Maschoff said, “I’m honored to have my entry selected. I’m glad CrossBreed liked it.”
The ambi mag pouch is suitable for pants or jacket pockets. It’s available for double or single stack models in a range of brands and calibers.
Five color options are currently offered in the handcrafted design: black, Havana brown, chocolate brown, London tan, and horsehide natural. It measures 4.875 inches wide and 5.25 inches tall.
The Gideon is so new, it’s not on the CrossBreed Holsters website yet. Perhaps the company is trying to figure out where it belongs in their existing inside-waistband or outside-waistband mag pouch categories.
MSRP of the Gideon is $24.95, with the horsehide option being five dollars more.
