The 3rd Leading Cause of Death in the U.S. Will Absolutely Shock You! What Is Going On?!?

Great article Chris this issue needs to be front-page news. With the egregious level of observable cruelty coming out of a broken healthcare industry a detailed public conversation is way over due. The fact that doctors are the third leading cause of premature death in America needs to be illuminated. If any other tradesman had this kind of track record they would be drummed out of business. Kudos brother!

I urge other to do as I have. I have routinely discussed this with the doctors I see at Kaiser intending to knock them down a peg or two. They in my opinion cannot be trusted or considered Hippocrates any longer. The dehumanization of patients is the trend and governing authorities are suggesting that Doctor burnout is responsible instead of the insensitivity now bread in medical schools and ingrained in those priding themselves the stewards of humanity. These numbers you recite although true really don’t even begin to tell the story. Many others are lost to medical incompetence that remain unaccounted for in these stats.

For example I lost my cousin a few years back to self infliction. The reason was that she was suffering and the doctors refused to treat her for her pain. Kaiser refuses to treat the chronic pain of legitimately suffering patients regardless of the underlying cause. Patients who refuse to get on their knees for the sake of corporate demand, people who wish to retain their dignity and constitutional rights are denied the basic treatment of pain without unreasonable stipulation. Ironically according to the UN denying the treatment of pain is considered internationally as a human right violation and here in California under the Health & Safety Codes Bill of Rights those denying it are guilty of crime. Does this affect Kaiser’s decision, well no! They like our fascist style government obviously could care less about the rule of law.

The intended purpose of federal, state and medical board recommendations was to curb recreational use of prescription drugs. The policy adopted by Kaiser, one of the nations largest healthcare insurance carriers does not correlate with the recommended precursor of abuse indicators and is intentionally designed to establish demeaning obstacles, to create an environment of distrust and antagonistic patient scrutiny. Pain relief or therapy is routinely denied to patients who refuse to participate in policy requirements that are unsupported by law. They establish mandates that require patients to give up legally protected privacy without any supportive court order, legal writ or warrant. The fact that chronic pain patients have been singled out and no other patients are ever scrutinized in this fashion presents a real problem for the industry. Because Chronic pain is a protected disability under federal definition this kind of policy violates the American with Disability Act of 1990.

Based on the battles already fought and won in both arbitration and court it has become commonplace for the plaintiff who prevailed against Kaiser to sign nondisclosure agreements designed to conceal patient victory from public disclosure. Even the former head of pain management in Sacramento complained about Kaiser’s abuse of pain patients, she was harassed and eventually terminated. She sued and won, but signed the nondisclosure agreement. She now works for Sutter Healthcare in Jackson, I spoke with her husband recently. For anyone needing a witness this expert witnesses nondisclosure agreement will not be honored in federal court. Because of the federal jurisdiction in regard to discrimination of the disabled the mandatory arbitration requirement no longer applies. Check with your attorney for advice!

To slow eventual exposure of their medical malfeasance, the healthcare sleazebags use the ridiculous but gut wrenching excuse that kids are dying from overdosing. This they suggest is because chronic pain patients are giving away and/or selling their prescriptions on the street. Stop for a brief moment and think about where the statistics used for justification of such measures come from. It was the CDC. Are the names of these victims verifiable, well no, but we should take their word for it! Lets all try to remember the CDC is the same government agency that purposely redefined the term so they could classify H1N1 a pandemic to sell vaccines.

It’s crazy the CDC backed by the healthcare industry makes this accusation about chronic pain patients knowing full well that such contention is a blatant fabrication. A few years back this notion was evidenced by the industry’s own admission posted in one of the American Medical Association’s peer review magazines. It was publicly acknowledged that chronic pain patients are three times less likely to abuse prescription privileges than the public at large. Their personal need for relief in order to function pretty much insures that. They also recognized the discriminatory aspects of the opium prescription policies being universally adopted.

Why then are Chronic pain patients being targeted for restrictive healthcare policy? You guessed it, it’s really all about money. It doesn’t have a darn thing to do with curbing drug abuse. Corporate policymakers noticed an increasing burden and steady loss of revenue over a five year span. They could directly attribute diminshed profits to the ever increasing cost of prescription pain killers. The objective I suppose is to save “mucho dinero” on the healthcare end of the fascist monster, while allowing those at the other end to generate a money stream smuggling in and selling the same category of drugs on to our streets. Ironically the street dealers are marketing these imports selling them to those very patients the healthcare industry has turned away. This is a real money maker for the beast!

It should be noted that chronic pain among babyboomers and returning military service personnel has reached epidemic levels. In fact the cost for the healthcare industries two favored generic substitutes for the more expensive opiate prescriptions have became equal to, or more expensive than the brand name drugs. Because of the increased demand and reduced supply the healthcare industry watched their annual profits increasingly diminish over a five year period while the drug manufactures during the same period truly hit pay dirt. They are plugging the hole in their pirate ship at the expense of the suffering and campaigning to defer the blame!

Much to their surprise the real truth began to emerge a while back. As to be expected pundits and lapdogs popped out of the woodwork all the way to the president, who himself stepped in for a little damage control. It had come out because of a string of overdoses in Sacramento that some of the Norco pills on the street were laced with the more powerful narcotic Fentanyl. That was quite telling for those in the know. Now it had come to light where the prescription drugs were actually coming from. A situation that mirrored the sixties era distribution of Secobarbital or ” border reds” as they were referred to back then.

Although these drugs are manufactured by well known drug companies out of China and Mexico, they cannot be purchased here in the US legally. Now think about this. With our soldiers guarding opium poppies in Afghanistan, our corrupt administration running guns over the border to criminal enterprises and our banks laundering drug money for Mexican cartels is it all that surprising that cohorts such as the CDC, DEA and other alphabet agencies decided not to allow this particular tragedy go to waste. They acted in cooperation with the Obama Administration’s track record for seizing all such opportunities.

In today’s fascist America the force between the corporate beast and corrupt government often seems unbeatable, however with journalists like Chris joining the fight, focusing on the issue of medical inefficiency I am confident in the end we the people will prevail and the medical industry will either accommodate their patients over corporate whims or perish as just another horrible memory in the pits of time. Perhaps private practices will again be the way of the time again, we can hope!
