• One tablespoon of baking soda
• Between one teaspoon and one tablespoon of cloves powder

• One tablespoon of xylitol powder (to taste)
• Essential oils are optional. You can use spearmint, peppermint or cinnamon essential oils.

Directions: 

Take all the ingredients, put them in a bowl and mix them well. You can use a mason jar too (pint size). Store the mixture in a clean glass jar with a good lid. Use a spoon to mix the ingredients and get a mixture with even texture. The recipe will get you a ¾ cup of special tooth powder and it will last for many months. The reason why this powder has long shelf life is simple – it doesn’t contain any liquid ingredients and the ingredients are antibacterial. Keep in mind that the herbal components are optional and you can replace them with other herbs. 

Both baking soda and bentonite clay can work together or alone for this purpose. Feel free to add larger amounts of mint, cloves and cinnamon to get a powder that is more concentrated.
