28 reported killed as explosions rock Turkey’s Istanbul airport
Police manning a checkpoint at the airport’s international terminal shot at the attackers as they approached. The attackers then detonated their bombs, the official said.
ISTANBUL—Turkey’s NTV television is quoting Istanbul’s governor as saying 28 people were killed in the attack at the city’s airport and some 60 people wounded.
Governor Vasip Sahin also told the channel that three suicide bombers carried out the attack Tuesday.
Officials had previously said one or two attackers had blown themselves up at the entrance to the international terminal at the airport after police fired at them.
Turkey’s justice minister and another official said Tuesday.
Turkey’s justice minister Bekir Bozdag said that according to preliminary information, “a terrorist at the international terminal entrance first opened fire with a Kalashnikov and then blew himself up.”

We must write to our legislators and make them pass
a law against explosions right now!
jdp…Yep, taking guns away won’t stop attackers, you need to take every bomb making material away, it all must be identified and tracked, anyone getting 5 or more butanepropane tanks welding tanks etc. must be noted and passed on to authorities, might be hard to do but if you don’t expect more of same.
