I’ve not seen the actual “Reports” that call for any Gun Control there but I don’t live in the EU either!! Having said that,
I’ve read the last time the German Government did Take up the Guns from the Peoples of Germany….lol, WW2 and

Lest we forget: In 1928, five years before Hitler became Chancellor of Germany, his political opponents restricted gun ownership to one firearm and a maximum of 50 rounds of ammo for that firearm per citizen 20+ years old. Both the gun and ammo required registration.
In 1938, Hitler changed the gun laws so that Germans 18+ years old could own as many guns as they wanted and as much ammo as they wanted. Registration requirements for long guns and ammo were dropped, so only concealable firearms required registration.
