Clinton Just Made a Veiled Threat Against Russia on Live Television – Again

The original question during the first presidential debate of 2016 was innocuous enough: “Who is behind cyberattacks against the US?” Clinton’s answer, however, went far beyond the usual Democrat tactic of blaming the messenger.

Yes, it was Russia, Russia, Russia as usual in placing blame for the recent hacks on the DNC – lack of solid evidence be damned!

For the second time in very recent memory, the former Secretary of State has made thinly veiled threats against Russia, on live TV, in front of millions of viewers.

Wedged between babbling about Trump’s alleged Putin fanboy-ism and faux concern for public information, Clinton used the debate stage as her personal War-hawk bird stand.

Quote:

We need to make it very clear. Whether it’s Russia, China, Iran, or anybody else: The United States has much greater capacity. And we are not going to sit idly by and permit state actors to go after our information – our private sector information, or our public sector information. And we’re going to have to make it clear that we don’t want to use the kinds of tools that we have. We don’t want to engage in a different kind of warfare. But we will defend the citizens of this country. and the Russians need to understand that.

This well-rehearsed statement was truly bizarre and chilling in a debate which mostly stuck to the two opponents pecking at each other for their various misdeeds and scandals.

Why single out Russia after generalizing the statement only moments before?

Donald Trump, of course, did not seem to pick up on the possible implications of this frightening monologue.

“Vote like our future depends on it”, Secretary Clinton?
