What makes Johnny Mac run?
FTYLive which advertises itself as “Gossip and News From Inside TV Newsrooms Around the Country,” reports McCain Runs From TV Cameras. It details KPHO CBS 5 political reporter Dennis Welch attempting to talk to John McCain about his comments regarding blocking Hillary Clinton‘s Supreme Court nominees if she were to be elected president. Now in his 80s, McCain is running for another 6-year senate term.
The site’s take was an example of cutting edge humor noting McCain “even ran from the camera, which is pretty good for a guy that’s a 124 years old.”
In May 2010 we posted Casper McCain: Ghostlike apparition nowhere to be seen as he hides from debates. It included a video of John McCain scurrying rat-like at the very mention of J.D. Hayworth’s name. McCain refused to debate the former Arizona Congressman who was challenging him.
During the 2016 Primary, Republicrat McCain outrageously lied about his conservative challenger, two term state senator and physician Dr. Kelli Ward. In TV ads and numerous mailers he referred to her as “weak on defeating ISIS terrorists,” an issue he knew all too well is not dealt with at the state legislative level, but in the U.S. Senate where he has spent decades. He also refused to debate her, knowing she would have him for lunch.
With a career steeped in supporting liberals and their causes, it’s not much of a surprise to find John McCain is ranked lower than any senator in the United States — as Townhall reports.
Ever heard of Stuart Starky? He was a Democrat perennial candidate who was a salesman and later a grade school teacher, with nothing to recommend him for the U.S. House or Senate both of which he ran for beginning in the 1990s. McCain eagerly debated Starky and even reached out to hug him at the conclusion. Why not? Starky helped keep the marginal McCain politically viable.
