Galil ACE rifles in 7.62 NATO now shipping (PHOTOS)

IWI US announced Thursday that the long-awaited Galil ACE Rifle Model GAR1651 in 7.62x51mm is finally shipping to dealers starting this week.

First teased back in 2015, the ACE in 7.62 NATO joins the Israeli company’s lineup of rifle and pistol variants of the popular platform that was adopted by the military and police of a dozen countries since 2008. Using a long stroke gas piston and rotating bolt, the rifle comes standard with a 16-inch cold hammer forged CrMoV chrome-lined barrel and accepts standard LR/SR-25 style magazines.

IWI says they should start showing up at distributors early next week and local FFL dealers a few days later.

MSRP is $2099.

When asked if they were going to be headed to Kalifornia on social media, IWI was frank, saying, “Highly unlikely that this will ever be offered for sale in CA.”
