The sole vice-presidential debate featuring Republican Mike Pence and Democrat Tim Kaine will take place tonight. It won’t be a record-breaker as the first televised Trump/Clinton presidential debate was. By all indications, it will attract not only a lesser crowd, but be more of a draw for committed political diehards. The ninety-minute town hall styled event will begin at 6 PM AZ time -9 PM ET.
The VP debate will be broadcast — commercial free — on all four major U.S. networks ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC along with cable news channels including Fox News, CNN, PBS and C-Span. Facebook (with ABC News coverage), Twitter (with Bloomberg coverage) and YouTube (with coverage from PBS), Fox News, Telemundo, Bloomberg, NBC News, and Washington Post) should have everyone covered.
There appears to be more focus on the fact that the debate moderator CBs News anchor Elaine Quijano is the daughter of Filipino immigrants. If she becomes the diversity interviewer, she’ll beat out Hillary biased Lester Holt as taking the focus from the candidates. But that may just be the point.
This is a show you’ll only miss if you try hard enough.
