Staffordshire man jailed for sexually abusing a three-year-old girl and taking a picture of it

A depraved pervert has been jailed for a decade for a string of crimes, including sexually abusing a three-year-old girl. The court heard how the 56-year-old Staffordshire man performed a sex act on the toddler, and took a picture of it taking place.
The man, who will now be on the sex offenders’ register for the rest of his life, also abused a teenage girl and made her take her clothes off so he could take photographs of her.
A third victim was aged between nine and 10 when the defendant asked her to pose while he took pictures. He also watched her having a bath.
Police seized the defendant’s digital camera and computer when they arrested him. The devices were found to contain more than 11,000 indecent images including nearly 3,500 classed as category A – the most serious.
Michael Deakin, of Niall Road, Hanford, in Stoke, pleaded guilty to three offences of making indecent photographs of children; causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity; two offences of taking indecent photos of children; assaulting a child under 13; sexual assault of a child under 13; and voyeurism.
