These sort of fake reports and false flags are why we need to stay tuned to ALTERNATIVE NEWS!
President John F. Kennedy once famously said he wanted to “splinter the CIA in a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds.”
Some have suggested that sentiment is a large part of what got JFK killed.
This is not quite the same exact sentiment, but mainstream media outlets far and wide this week announced that president-elect Donald Trump has plans to overhaul and parse back not just the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which the Wall Street Journal reported that Trump believes has become “bloated and politicized,” but he’s going to cut back and restructure the Central Intelligence Agency as well.
Based on unnamed sources, the WSJ reported,
One of the people familiar with Mr. Trump’s planning said advisers also are working on a plan to restructure the Central Intelligence Agency, cutting back on staffing at its Virginia headquarters and pushing more people out into field posts around the world.
The WSJ also noted that the CIA failed to comment on the story, which goes on to speculate the announcement came after Trump has been critical of the still unsupported US intelligence community accusation that Russia hacked the 2016 US presidential election.
Again, the WSJ is not the only outlet who reported on this; Trump’s plans to “shake up the CIA” were splashed everywhere, from Fox News to The Hill to The Telegraph. MSNBC went with the dramatic headline, “Confronted with intel he didn’t like, Trump eyes major CIA changes”.
There’s just one problem with the story… It’s completely made up.
At least, according to the Trump camp, it is.
Chief Trump spokesman and incoming press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters in a conference call earlier today that, “There is no truth to this idea of restructuring the intelligence community infrastructure. It is 100 per cent false.”
No wonder Trump makes most of his statements on Twitter.
So in other words, Trump’s highly publicized plans to “shake up the CIA” are just more fake news. But how far and wide do you think the correction will be reported on? How many mainstream outlets will admit they reported a complete false, unsubstantiated story here?
Worse though… If you consider the JFK quote at the beginning of this article, it’s…
It almost makes one wonder… is this a covert warning?
