On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “MTP Daily,” Chuck Todd told BuzzFeed editor Ben Smith That he and his publication had just published blatant “Fake News”

Following a publication by Buzzfeed of a dossier showing unverified claims and unchecked claims about President-elect Donald Trump having ties with Russia ,”Fake News” became a major talking point across the national media on Wednesday

Chuck Todd however immediately fired back saying “I know this was not your intent,I’ve known you a long time, but you just published fake news.”

So somehow it’s not ok to call a Liberal publication like BuzzFeed “Fake News” however it’s totally fine to say a conservative publication like breitbart “Fake News” #Hypocrisy

In an email sent to staff on Wednesday, Buzzfeed CEO Jonah Peretti told employees that “we are not going to respond to these divisive comments” from Trump’s administration criticizing the report. “We stand with Ben on his decision to publish this newsworthy document,”
