Oregon-based Leupold & Stevens revamped the VX-3i scope series adding three models of Long Range Precision riflescopes to its 2017 lineup.
LRP users start their Leupold experience by choosing from either a front focal plane or rear focal plane based on preference.
From there, shooters can tweak settings using the larger adjustment dials. These dials provide easier manipulation, allowing for fine tune measurements in either 1/4 MOA or 0.01 mil adjustments. The capped windage adjustment also comes with a thread protector, delivering immediate access to the dial if needed.
In addition, all LRP models are equipped with a removable throw lever that screws into the power selector ring. This enables users to quickly make magnification adjustments even while wearing gloves.
Leupold says the LRP line aspires to give shooters a competitively-priced scope with a high-end feel.
“We’ve taken more than 70 years of experience in precision optics and put that into the VX-3i LRP,” Vice President of Product Development Tim Lesser said in a statement. “The result is a high-end, long-range riflescope that’s within most people’s budget, be it for PRS, long-range target shooting or even hunting.”
Prices on the VX-3i LRP line fall between $1,104.99 and $1,234.99 depending on the model.
