Woman shoots ex-boyfriend as he tries to break into her house (VIDEO)

Authorities say a man was shot by his ex-girlfriend Sunday morning as he tried to break into her home in Jackson, Mississippi.

The suspect, who was identified as Eugene Ladell, 27, was transported to the hospital for medical treatment but his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. The woman, whose name was not released, was uninjured.

It’s unclear if the woman had a protective order or whether there were any prior incidents with Ladell, who was to be charged upon his release from the hospital.

The woman was briefly detained for questioning but released. No charges have been filed against her at this time.
