Idaho Woman Crashes Car into Deer; Says She Was Distracted by Bigfoot Sighting

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

An as yet unnamed woman and resident of Tensed, Idaho, crashed her car into a deer last week, and gave a bizarre reason for the accident. She claims that she was distracted by Bigfoot. As she was driving down Highway 95, she saw a 7-8 foot tall “shaggy object” chasing a deer along the side of the road. She decided to take a second look at the creature in one of her mirrors, and as she looked back to the road, another deer darted in front of her.

She continued to drive her damaged vehicle to pick up her husband from work. Afterward she reported the incident to the Benewah County Sheriff’s Department just after midnight. A deputy followed the woman out to the crash site, but as you might expect, the police haven’t reported any evidence that the mythical creature was involved. The police have marked the incident as a vehicle versus deer collision. The woman reported experiencing some neck pain after the accident, but didn’t need to be treated by the hospital.

Given how common deer collisions are, you have to wonder why she would make up such a story. There doesn’t seem to be any good reason for that. You could chalk it up to the ramblings of an attention seeker, but she since her name hasn’t been revealed, she clearly doesn’t want any attention. The police haven’t reported that she was intoxicated with anything.  So either she mistook an ordinary animal for a Sasquatch, or just maybe, the apelike cryptid is for real.
