The ‘Killer Tomato’ vs. the US Navy (Video)
A recently released video shows target practicing with the United States Navy is anything but what’s considered typical by the rest of us. Instead of using cardboard cutouts or other such items, the Navy uses large, red inflatable naval gunnery targets, known as “Killer Tomatoes.”
This particular exercise features members of the amphibious assault ship the USS Bataan, which is a part of the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations, a group tasked with maritime security, preservation of the freedom of navigation, and free flow of commerce.
