ALSO LAST FRIDAY I TOLD COLD WAR WARRIOR AND ANOTHER 2 NAVY GUYS SEPARATELY THAT …..ON THE U.S. SIDE THAT I WOULD BET THAT ONE OR MORE OF THE USN OFFICERS WOULD BE NAMED MOHAMMED OR ‘ONE HUNG LO’ ……..ONE NAVY VET REPLIED HOW DID YOU KNOW?…….. 

THE XO OR EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF THE FITZ IS A CHINESE AMERICAN BORN IN PORTLAND NAMED SHU……..???? AT THE TIME I STATED THAT ACX CRYSTAL CARGO VESSEL WAS PROBABLY REALLY OWNED BY RED CHINESE OR NORKS……..

Report of Russians shooting down something over the Med near Syria is accurate, but no one is saying just what. What threw me off initially was that the EQ-4 was necessary for comms with troops, maybe so in some rare occasions, but Satcomms are used extensively especially for data.

Relying on a drone, which can be easily shot down, is not good. The Russians are showing their abilities, and they DO surpass ours especially since the lizard’ curtailed so much and prevented keeping up with or countering our enemies. 

 
Our fleet is woefully inadequate for a major war.  Can be taken out swiftly by our enemies, disabled, etc. Aircraft the same way. Not enough replacement parts available, etc. Our enemies know this, and that is why all of them are getting nastier and exerting themselves in various ways.  Plus, they share abilities to proxies, so any real war is going to really be nasty indeed.

One case in point is the recent ship collision. Having been in such a situation with imminent collision, the response required, etc, all divulged info on that just does NOT make sense. Multiple failures of equip and personnel also had to have occurred. 

 

 

 
Finally, why did no one hit the collision alarm at all to alert the crew, and no one woke up the captain? Absurd in the least. Even if the OOD, officer of the deck, is incompetent, it is STILL the right and the DUTY of someone to over ride his decision, inform the captain of such, and to SOUND the alarm in such a case to at least attempt to save lives. In our case this had to be done immediately, as seconds count to abort a full hard hit. That OOD was kicked out of the navy before the light of the next day because of the hazard he allowed. Now with this, nothing ? Got to be kidding indeed.

      When you live aboard a ship for a while you get to know its sounds and you definitely know when something has hit you because it vibrates the entire ship! This ship had to have been dead in the water because this ship has the capability to maneuver and turn on a dime. The anti-collision alarms on the ships computer system should have set off the alarms when the freighter was in its red watch circle unless the entire ship was in blackout and dead in the water which means even their emergency backup system didn’t work which should have automatically started after so many seconds when a ship loses all power. This look really bad…I’ve been on a ship during a blackout drill when things didn’t go quite right and nothing works when you go completely into blackout with no emergency backup power…nothing works, not even the engines. The ship goes dark and quiet…it’s really spooky when it happens.
