I can certainly sympathize with this Colonels point of view. The DOJ going after little fish, will never turn this boat around for the better. No big fish on the menu, equals no meat to help give strengthen to this country.
When we see the big names in both parties being served up, then we know we have what it takes. Trump is not one the names that should be listed among them as he has no history with these agency’s or Washington politic’s on a scale that would even make sense in this endeavor, but instead would be the equivalent of eating crumbs. Trump was sent to Washington to drain the swamp, not to become another victim of it as so many American’s are already.
The public needs to double down and not be deterred from focusing even more determinedly on the real problems we face.

The public was, and I think for the most part is still, under the impression our intelligence apparatus via the intelligence agencies was put in place to amass information on our enemies. Awan (a worker bee) was working for the Debbie’s, and the Podesta who were working for Clinton as an example. It’s no leap to go the worker bee boss to find out why his/her worker bee was instructed take these actions.
One might conclude, our intelligence agency’s fell to the vulnerability over time and are most likely to do us harm from here on out as they exist today. We just need to get better at asking the right question’s about the right people and not cutting off our own nose despite our face by pretending our intelligence agency’s are doing this for us.
