Now trust in Him and get to know Him through the Bible which tells us everything we need to know and through prayer/talking to Him. He eagerly desires relationship with you.

I am in the Houston area, and I love it when the “officials” have
news conferences and pat each other on the back on how great of
a job they are doing, and the agencies are doing.. Watch closely
though, and 99 percent of the rescues and help are from ordinary
people, helping ordinary people. Kudos to the agencies that actually
do something, but more often than not, they walk around with clipboards
and act like they are doing something, and most of the time they do nothing
but watch the population of normal folks rebuild the place at blazing
speed.
During Hurricane Ike, we had FEMA in our neighborhood. They came in
with their clipboards, and wrote down everything, just to tell you later that
there was nothing they could do. GREAT! What good are you then?
I can’t express how much normal private groups helped during that time
though as they will this time.. We had two hot meals a day thanks to the
Salvation Army.. We had water, gas and toiletries brought regularly by Church
groups from all over the country.. We had everything we needed to survive..
Know what of that survival help was from government agencies? NONE!
I have to say the Coast Guard gets awards for the rescues they did back then
and like they are doing right now.. The rest of the government agencies, not
really sure what they think that they do, that they have to compliment themselves
all of the time for, but it’s kind of silly.. Sure, there are some that actually work
behind the scenes tirelessly. To those people, I commend you for what you do.
Keep in mind though that it’s people power that does most all of it, and without
much help or money..
