US Has 30 Million Jobs That Pay $55K A Year: No Bachelor’s Degree Necessary

After decades of government propaganda and college universities telling young Americans that in order to be successful, they must get a four-year degree, the data has now proven that to be incorrect. As of right now, there are at least 30 million jobs that will pay $55,000 a year open in the United States, and they don’t require a college degree.

Trades have been the bread and butter of many Americans for centuries.  But in the past few decades, the government has been pushing college degrees, getting students to take out more money in the form of government loans for school, and making billions of dollars on the interest.  But those jobs don’t pay any more than a trade and a tradesperson won’t start their life off with hundreds of thousands of dollars in government debt for a piece of paper. Students and their parents no longer ask what that college degree is worth anymore – they just do as the society and the government has programmed them to do.

According to PBS, so much effort has been put into encouraging high school graduates to go to college for academic degrees rather than for training in industrial and other trades that many trade fields face worker shortages. Because of the shortage, California is spending $6 million on a campaign to revive the reputation of vocational education, and $200 million to improve the delivery of it.

Randy Emery, a welding instructor at the College of the Sequoias in California’s Central Valley, said the decades-long national push for high school graduates to get bachelor’s degrees left vocational programs with an image problem, and the nation’s factories with far fewer skilled workers than needed.

And let’s face it. Most colleges have become breeding grounds and cesspools of liberal and Marxist ideology designed to brainwash rather than educate. The state is blaming themselves now, but their solution is to throw more money at the problem and involve themselves further.

Research by California state’s 114-campus community college system showed that families and employers alike didn’t know of the existence or value of vocational programs and the certifications they confer, many of which can add tens of thousands of dollars per year to a graduate’s income. “All throughout high school, they made it sound like going to college was our only option,” said Derrick Roberson, who is training to become an electrician.

“We needed to do a better job getting the word out,” said Van Ton-Quinlivan, the system’s vice chancellor for California’s workforce and economic development (which according to Google’s one review, has a one-star rating.) According to the government’s own numbers, their “college for all push” is blowing up in their faces.  Federal figures show that only 8 percent of undergraduates are enrolled in certificate programs, which tend to be vocationally oriented.

The United States has 30 million jobs that pay an average of $55,000 per year and don’t require a bachelor’s degree, according to the Georgetown center. People with career and technical educations are actually more likely to be employed than their counterparts with academic credentials (bachelor’s degrees) and will make more money over the lifetime of their employment.  The U.S. Department of Education reports that tradespeople are significantly more likely to be working in their fields of study.

At California Steel Industries, some supervisors without college degrees make as much as $120,000 per year and electricians also can make six figures, company officials said. But the government’s desire for money from the student loans they hand out like candy has left Americans brainwashed and it may be difficult to convince people that a Bachelor’s degree isn’t for everyone.

Skilled trades show the highest potential among job categories, the economic-modeling company Emsi calculates. It says tradespeople also are older than workers in other fields. More than half were over 45 in 2012, the last period for which the subject was studied. That means looming retirements could result in big shortages.

Obviously, if the government would just stop brainwashing and using propaganda to tell Americans how to live their lives, this wouldn’t be an issue. This is just more evidence of government’s obvious failures.
