How to Update Your Fall Makeup

(Before It's News)

Fall and the arrival of a new season doesn’t just mean sweater weather, pumpkin patches and new outfit postings (anyone else love the #wiw hashtag on Instagram?), it means you can update your look in various ways and that should always include a new makeup look.

But how are you supposed to update your fall makeup? It’s not like your skin tone or colors that look best on you change overnight. One of the simplest ways to add some fall-inspired makeup to your everyday look without much investment (or tutorials) is adding a new lip color. Try one of our lip stains, like Dark Side or Vamp to add a little mystery and fall inspiration to your look.

But if you’re trying to cut down on fall spending, try a favorite beauty hack of ours by adding a little brown to your summer lip shades. Have fun mixing and matching your current lipsticks so you can create a more fall-friendly color. In fact, as much as we love all the beautiful lip colors we have, we don’t blame you for wanting to create your very own custom shades and it’s easy as pie. Just take a few swipes of different colors and blend them on the back of your hand (using your finger or even a makeup brush) and see what color you like best.

You can also get creative with your airbrush bronzer. Consider using bronzer to contour your face or you can even use it as eye shadow. We caution not to use too much bronzer during the fall – we’re big fans of the sun kissed glow, but you want to keep your look natural and flawless, so use it sparingly! May we also suggest investing in one of our brand-new Luminizers that sculpt and highlight with a bit of metallic shimmer to give your fall edge a slightly updated look.

A major part of updating your fall makeup look also includes paying close attention to your natural skin tone. None of us like to see our tans fade away after all that hard work we put in this summer, but you can easily custom color match your Airbrush Foundation to find your perfect shade (and bonus: it doesn’t mean you have to buy a new shade!).
