Pres.Trump disappoints: Kicks DACA can down the road

Unenforceable DACA rewards, incentivizes lawbreakers

This morning at 5:04 ET the President tweeted: “Congress get ready to do your job –DACA!”

Kicking the DACA can to congress is pure folly. The Republican dominated congress couldn’t even repeal Obamacare.

Some background: The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals scheme, (DACA) was put into effect in 2012 by Barack. Obama via his left-handed signature on an unconstitutional executive order. With the stroke of a pen, he erased deportation concerns for an estimated 800,000 so-called “DREAMers,” all of whom merely had to claim they were brought into the United States before age 16 by their illegally invading parents .In order to qualify for this absurd generosity, they must have been age 35 or younger as of June 2012. Since such claims are unverifiable, attempts at enforcement of the program becomes nothing short of an utter mockery of  our legal system. How does the US enforce an ‘honor system’ on dishonest invaders?

DACA’s actual goal was expansion of the Democrat base, rendering the Republican Party a Whig-like political relic.

The bottom line is a sovereign nation ceases to exist if it has no enforceable border and its immigration policy is based on nefarious schemes masquerading as empathy. Offering rewards and incentives to those who disrespect our laws is irrational public policy.

On Saturday, our post “Supporting DACA is ultimately suicidal,” outlined objections to this farcical program that rewards illegality.  President Trump was elected, in large measure, by Americans who believed his promise to secure our border, build a fortified fence and not offer incentives to invaders. His get tough on illegal immigration message was as effective and compelling as his economic message in resonating with American voters, propelling him to the front of the line of 17 GOP presidential candidates in 2016.

Conservative commentator Laura Ingraham said it best: “His instincts politically when he ran for president were frankly brilliant. He beat the Bushes, the Obamas, big business, the media,” Ingraham said. “He beat them all, not by moving to the middle on all the issues.”

Mr. President: Decisive action is not always easy, but it must be taken. Your loyal conservative base expects nothing less.
