Pres. Trump praised for UN speech; AZ Republic ignores it

Though Pres. Trump won international acclaim for his strong United Nations speech Tuesday, you’d never know it from reading the far left, Hillary Clinton-endorsing Arizona Republic.  The fact that the president’s speech didn’t rate any coverage is telling.  When he excels on the World stage, the fish wrap passing itself off as a disseminator of news, is unable to deal with the accolades he receives. 

The AZ Republic opted instead to devote Page One to its “exclusive analysis” elevating its open borders vagueness and pretzel-like contortions to new heights as it concludes, “The border wall would disrupt lives and force seizures of thousands of properties at untold cost.”

Former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton praised the speech, declaring it the “best speech of the Trump presidency.”

“The only way to deal with the quagmire that the U.N. represents on so many issues is to be direct. For Americans, plain speaking is still a virtue, and there is a lot of plain speaking in that speech,” Bolton said during an interview on “Happening Now.” 

“This was the best speech of the Trump presidency in my view. I think he was as clear and direct as it’s possible to be.”

An acknowledged expert on the United Nations, Bolton credited Trump’s tough talk against North Korea and Iran as highlights of his speech and said such comments were unprecedented at the U.N.

“I think it’s safe to say in the entire history of the United Nations, there has never been a more straightforward criticism of the behavior, the unacceptable behavior or member states,” Bolton said. “I think these are about as clear an indication as a president can make that he’s not going to live with the kinds of half measures and compromises that frankly for 25 years have marked American policy and led us to the present desperate situation.”
