America has a do-something president

James Buchanan was, rightly or wrongly, known as the “do nothing” president. With President Donald J. Trump, we have just the opposite, a president who is intent on fulfilling his promises to the American people that won him the 2016 election.

With steadfast determination, President Trump has been following through with his “”Make America Great Again” agenda. The large crowds he continues to generate as he travels the nation, are a testament to his ability to hold his supporters close.

This rankles the leftist media in unimaginable ways. On his to-do list are repealing and replacing Obamacare, which was shot down by the spiteful John McCain, who can’t get over the fact that Donald Trump achieved what he never will — the Presidency of the United States. USA Today, the free hotel throwaway, headlined its sneering report, “Piece by Piece, Trump tries to unravel Obamacare,”noting that the “president acts on his own.” 

Astute news followers will recall that such a complaint was never lodged against Barack Obama, who lived in a cocoon of presidential executive orders, bypassing congress whenever he felt constrained. McCain claims he voted in opposition to President Trump’s healthcare reform — with an obviously practiced and intended to shock, Roman emperor Caligula-style thumbs down vote against the gladiator begging for mercy in the arena — for that very reason. Yet McCain remained mute on all of Obama’s unilateral excesses as he ran the government by executive fiat.

The president wants to decertify the disastrous ‘Iran Nuclear Deal.’ entered Into by Barack Obama and his secretary of state, John Kerry — who sweetened the pot with cash infusions in the amount of $1.7 billion to the terrorist sponsoring nation in 2016. They also went against precedent not to be monetarily blackmailed for hostages, paying $400 million the same day Iran agreed to release four American prisoners. The U.S. is supposed to trust Iran’s claim that it will not develop nuclear weapons for at least a decade.

On Thursday the Trump administration said it would stop paying billions of dollars worth of reimbursements to health insurers to compensate them for out-of-pocket health discounts given to 6 million Obamacare customers. Arizonans on the failed system saw a 116 percent increase in premiums this year, the highest spike in the nation.

Addressing the Values Voter Summit an annual conservative conference on Friday, the president received thunderous applause when he noted our nation‘s Judeo-Christian values are under assault. He stated, “saying ‘Merry Christmas’ will be back in style.”
