      For decades now for easily getting to sleep and for getting back to sleep in the night, I have taken a half level tablespoon of soy lecithin granules (or soy lecithin powder) in the evening.
      Put the lecithin to soak in the evening in a few tablespoons of water for a few minutes or longer and take it before bed. Follow it with a few swallows of plain water to wash it down.
      Lecithin is a nervous system relaxant that contains phosphatidylcholine.
      The single evening dose should be enough to last all night including getting back to sleep after getting up in the night.
      I currently buy lecithin powder from Nuts.com, although soy lecithin granules are available almost anywhere.
      Some prefer non-GMO soy lecithin such as the NOW brand or the Swanson brand lecithin, both available at SwansonVitamins.com.
      Soy lecithin is a simple solution for sleep that has worked reliably for me for probably 30 years. I am in my early 60′s.
