In our country, churches are monitored, because they lose tax-exempt status, when making political statements.
They would presumably be monitoring mosques and cults, for radicalization, but would more-likely be monitoring traditionalists.
I don’t have any prejudices against electronic media. I honestly feel that you could watch something constructive (that does not sound like one giant commercial.) This can be a source of culture, and not acculturation. Art.
But, our service, here, is vapidly demoralizing. I have specifically asked, several times, for my DirecTV service to be turned off. The fact that it comes over a television does not make it bad, in and of itself. It’s just that your programming is so cringeworthy.
