We are all guilty of falling into bad beauty habits. We get busy and time seems to get more and more limited, but bad beauty habits can create breakouts and other skin issues, so it’s really important to start breaking some of them today.

Here are 7 bad beauty habits we think you should break ASAP:

  1. Going to sleep with your makeup on. This is the #1 thing you need to break up with, like right now! Even if you only do it once or twice a month, STOP DOING IT.   2. Using old razors. Whatever you use your razor for, beware of rusty and dirty razors. They should be stored in a clean, dry place and only used for a short amount of time. We know, we know.   3. Not cleaning your bed sheets often. You should wash your sheets once a week, and your pillowcases even more often. The bacteria on there will just sit on your skin and that doesn’t sound fun or pretty, now does it?
  4. Over-applying your makeup. Truth be told, you don’t need five layers of foundation and powder and more to create a flawless look. Just use airbrush makeup and the gentle mist will effortlessly give you that flawless face, but still looks natural. Over-applying makeup tends to leave a caked-on and fake look, so less is more.
  5. Not cleaning your makeup brushes. Seriously, make time for this like it’s your job. Your face will thank you. Also, just a friendly plug to remind you that airbrushing doesn’t require any brushes, making it great for your face!
  6. Forgetting sunscreen. Yes, even in the winter. Sunscreen should be a daily habit in your life, even if you’re just outside for a few minutes or walking to and from your car.
  7. Over-scrubbing and over-exfoliating. Yes, we applaud your efforts to keep healthy, beautiful skin, but doing too much can be a bad thing. Make sure to keep an eye on your skin. If it starts to look red or irritated, odds are you are doing too much to it, so give it a little break.
