Iran has not attacked another country since 1736 but Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Britain, France, and their coalition are all bombing people in the Middle East every day. But Iran is the dangerous one?

Israel has between 100 to 400 nuclear weapons (Colin Powell said about 200). It cannot be attacked by any of its neighbors because they have zero. Unlike Iran, Israel has refused to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and allow inspections. The Symington amendment makes it illegal for the US to provide military aid to any country that is armed with nuclear weapons and refuses to sign the treaty. Congress knowingly violates the law every year to feed more weapons to Israel. Should Iran be concerned by a government that is willing to violate its own laws?

Iran is constantly called “the greatest sponsor of terrorism in the world” with absolutely no proof. But proof is not required to attack. Afghanistan had nothing to do with 9/11, Iraq did not have WMD’s, Libya did not massacre its citizens, Syria never used poison gas, but all were attacked based on false accusations. Iran does not want to be destroyed but sees the machinery for its destruction being put in place. Should they be concerned?

The current situation has a history. In 1953 Iran had an elected popular government. But it wanted to charge British and American companies too much for its oil. So the CIA declared it a communist government, overthrew it, and put their brutal puppet the Shah in place. In 1979 Iran revolted and threw out the Shah. In 1980 it was attacked by the Western puppet government of Iraq supported by the US, France, etc. and even the Soviet Union. The war lasted 8 years, over one million people died, many by poison gas provided by the US. But Iran prevailed and has struggled to develop in spite of continuous Western sanctions. But Iran knows the West will not rest until their puppet is back in power, and that is why we are called The Great Satan.

Now sure of their control of Westen governments Israel is trying to bait Syria or Iran to create an incident to start the attack, preferably before Netayahu’s indictment. But Iran is not like the others. Russia and China have drawn the line there because they know that they are next on the list. They have now spent years coming up with superior weapons and cannot be defeated without destroying the world.

What party can we vote for to stop the march to war?
