Norman: The AI Psychopath

An artificial intelligence that spent its time on the darkest parts of Reddit?

A researcher named Pinar Yanardag created an artificial intelligence as an April Fools joke, making it into a total psychopath! The researchers describe Norman as such:

“A psychotic AI suffering from chronic hallucinatory disorder; donated to science by the MIT Media Laboratory for the study of the dangers of Artificial Intelligence gone wrong when biased data is used in machine learning algorithms.”

Being part of an April Fools prank, there are stories of Norman causing permanent psychological damage to people, but these are merely a fabrication. However, it being a psychopath is completely true, having its neural network trained on the subreddit of r/watchpeopledie…because there are always those twisted psychopaths who get a kick out of that. To further prove the AI is a psychopath, they ran it through an inkblot test. These are the results posted on their website.
