War Is Staring Israel Down

The past few weeks have seen some serious exchange between IDF and Hamas forces. It wasn’t long ago that Hamas had struck Israel with Mortars causing the IDF to retaliate heavily. It resulted in Hamas asking for a ceasefire, but as @the-bishop-ufc had told us, this ceasefire was more of a “hold on, we’re reloading”. Within a few days, Hamas was promoting the use of fire kites from protesters to be used against Israel, Hamas had sent over 5,000 fire kites and the damage these have done isn’t just physical, it’s emotional. An estimated 6,000 acres have been destroyed in hundreds of blazes caused by flaming kites, helium balloons, and now condoms, that’s right, condoms! Some of the fires have burned as long as 10 hours, firefighters say, ruining crops and killing wildlife.

Along with the fire kites, Hamas and the IDF are taking shots at each other again. Just the other day we reported of more missiles being fired between the two, and an airstrike carried out by the IDF. The UN has been getting involved calling Israel’s attacks inhumane when they’re only defending themselves! War is on the front, this is the second time in less than three weeks that Palestinian organizations, led by Hamas and Islamic Jihad, have launched an unusually high number of rockets and mortar shells into the Negev. On May 29, there were more than 150; on Tuesday night, 45. So how much longer until things boil over? Would Hamas begin a full on war with Israel?
