EYES bulge out of their sockets, a distorted smile stretches out over a gaunt, pale face and underneath black hair is a absurd mixture of human and animal parts.
It’s a frightening graphic and it’s being utilized as the face of a sick game that has been associated with the suicide of a 12-year-old girl.
The scary character is referred to as Momo and is a part of a problematic viral challenge where children are dared to message the character on WhatsApp.
Momo then responds with violent photos and threatens the player if they reject to follow their instructions.
Nevertheless, the creepy image of the woman wasn’t created with evil intention and has unsuspectingly been utilized in the sick online game.
The photograph is literally of a sculpture designed by Japanese special effects company, Link Factory.

The real title of the artwork is Mother Bird and was on display at Tokyo’s horror art Vanilla Gallery.
But as photographs were shared around social media the account of its origin rapidly became corrupt and it was soon linked to the Momo game.
The sculpture was originally thought to be made by Japanese artist Midori Hayashi who is known for creating strange dolls employing different animal parts.
Neither of them Hayashi or Link Factory are connected with the Momo challenge.
So while it is still unsettling to look at, the original artwork was never intended to be a component of the sinister game it is being utilized for now.
The viral game gathered major recognition after a 12-year-old girl was found dead in her backyard near Buenos Aires, Argentina, after purportedly having an online conversation with Momo.
After examining the girl’s phone, law enforcement are now questioning an 18-year-old the girl apparently met on social media, local media reports.
“The phone has been hacked to find footage and WhatsApp chats, and now the alleged adolescent with whom she exchanged those messages is being sought,” police said.
They think the teenager’s objective was to “upload the video to social media as part of a challenge, crediting the Momo game” for the suicide.
Other folks have said their interactions with Momo contained being sent violent photographs during the evening and the unknown individual threatening to show up while they are sleeping and curse them.
