Truly Amazing! Media Can't Even Call This What it Obviously Is!

As we ponder for a moment this image of Hillary Clinton signing a commemorative copy of a Newsweek Magazine declaring her to be Madam President in anticipation of a win in 2016…we all know the bias of Mainstream news so saturates our society and is so common place that people have almost grown numb to it…but we shouldn’t.

As now even the most corrupt politicians like Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel come out and condemn Jussie Smollett in pretty strong terms, there are some major hypocrisies in Mainstream news that can’t be wiped away. First check out what Emanuel says. (clip)

Newsweek’s initial coverage of the Jussie Smollett hate crime hoax and the alleged assault that took place Tuesday on UC Berkley’s campus drew skepticism Friday from many, though Newsweek defends its reporting as appropriately “cautious.”

Smollett alleged that two supporters of Trump assaulted him and poured a bleach-like substance on him while shouting racist and homophobic slurs, during a -40 degree polor vortex as he fended off his attackers with a sub in one hand and a cell phone in another. He was arrested for allegedly orchestrating the entire hoax earlier this week.

Newsweek published, “‘Empire’ Actor Jussie Smollett Hospitalized For Possible Hate Crime With ‘Unknown Chemical Substance’: Report,” by Kelly Wynne, the day after the alleged attack on Jan. 29.

The article’s lede reads: “Empire actor Jussie Smollett was hospitalized Monday in Chicago after BEING (not allegedly being) attacked by two men who allegedly screamed praise to President Donald Trump.”

The way the article is written appears to confirm that the attack actually happened. But the detail of the attackers screaming “this is MAGA country” was left as uncorroborated.

In another incident Tuesday, UC Berkeley student Hayden Williams, who is associated with the conservative activism group Turning Point USA, got into an altercation that ended with him being punched in the face. The second half of the incident was caught on camera. (clip)

The Newsweek article about that incident is titled, “Conservative Student Allegedly Assaulted At UC Berkeley While Recruiting Other Conservatives.”

The article, which was written by Scott McDonald, uses the word “allegedly” in the headline, despite the fact the article includes a video of the incident as it happened and a statement from the university police department saying…

“The suspect then knocked over the table the victim was at and the two men struggled over the phone. During the incident, the suspect punched the victim several times causing injury to the victim’s eye and nose,”

So, as far as Newsweek was concerned Smollett’s mere report of an attack was real but the real attack on UC Berkley’s campus recorded on video for all to see was alleged.

In Their defense, Nancy Cooper, the editor in chief of Newsweek said,

“I am comfortable with the cautious approach we took to both stories, although I agree that the shorthand ‘allegedly’ doesn’t provide sufficient nuance in many cases. By saying Smollett’s attackers were ‘allegedly’ praising President Trump, the reporter was trying to avoid characterizing the individuals or ascribing motive as a matter of fact”

“As for the Berkeley story, we’ve seen examples — such as the Covington High School story —where a video clip appeared to tell one story that was contradicted by fuller video or later information. Especially in a headline, it was appropriate to be cautious. Newsweek’s editorial guidelines urge reporters to be conscious of any assumptions they may be conveying in their stories.”

I’m mean guys…look at this video footage of this assault on an innocent man! The only two major differences in both stories is that one of the so-called victims was a black liberal with no evidence, and a white conservative with plenty of evidence. And still Mainstream media can’t get to the point where they pull their heads out of their asses and just report the facts.
