It might not mean a thing. It could be they just approved it because they deemed it safe and useful in the event it is necessary, and nothing more.
It is foolish to always automatically assume the worse, even if the FDA is another big brother agency that is not to be trusted.
Sometimes they might just do the right thing because no matter how corrupt they might be, they might do the right thing now and then.
If you are given two options, which one you take? Number 1, no effect or number 2 you may become ill or even die? For my part, I take number 1, absolutely, but I have to be sure. How can I be sure? I can’t, so I don’t take that vaccination.
I suspect you missed my point.
I personally do NOT let doctors or unqualified medical personel or anyone else put needles in me for anything other than extreme need for medical care. Which, I avoid like the plaque , even though I am quite old.
I am more afraid of our medical industry, the FDA, and the insurance companies than I am of disease and death.
If I had children ( or in my case, was caring for great-grandchildren) I would not allow anyone to , for example, give them a measles vaccine, which is completely unnecessary and potentially dangerous.
However, take into consideration that our immigration laws were in part originally intended to keep diseases and vermin that had been eradicated here out of here.
Part of our immigration process is that those coming here, prior to reagan circumventing our immigration laws, was that those who came here were vetted to insure they were not carrying vermin such as lice and bedbugs or diseases such as tuberculosis. Bedbugs and tuberculosis had both been eradicated from our society.
Reagans open door policy brought both of them back.
So, taking that into consideration, perhaps the government knows they have put us in threat of an ebola outbreak, which given our open borders, and the fact that nobody wants to break in here illegally because we are not a desirable country to live in for all but the most desperate of third world beings.
Who quite obviously are far more likely to be carrying disease and vermin than those who come here respectful of and according to our laws.
My point being, we are in constant threat , because of all the somalis and mexicans who are invading our society, of disease and vermin, and an ebola outbreak is not only possible, it is an inevitability.
And perhaps the government is trying to cover the danger it puts us in by not securing and enforcing our borders with a very bad patch, by making a vaccine available in the event the community you or I live in becomes a victim of the invasion because of a disease outbreak.
Which again is a real threat.
Again, I don’t do vaccines. But, consider the extreme. If the community you live in suddenly has a mass outbreak of ebola, and the chances of contracting it are quite high, would you allow your kids or grandkids to be injected with it? The threat of deadly disease can change your perspective quite rapidly.
That is quite a dilemma for all of us, and one we would all likely prefer to have options to deal with it.
