Bears Party in the Woods

If you ever wondered what bears do in the woods when they think no one is looking, wonder no more.  A wildlife trail cam in Alberta, CA captured some pretty amazing footage of a mama grizzly bear and her three almost-grown adults having a grand ol’ time rubbing against a tree in the woods next to a power cut.  

And the grizzlies aren’t the only ones enjoying the tree.  The video shows black bears, elk, deer and even a couple of mountain lions checking out this particular tree.  There’s obviously something attractive about it that’s not apparent to us humans.  One thing’s for certain, smell has something to do with it; almost all of the animals that check out the tree take a good whiff of it first.  Just goes to show you how much better a sense of smell most animals have compared to us.

It’s pretty awesome to see what wildlife get up to when people aren’t around.  Check it out!
