Humongous Cat Traps Family in Bedroom

I had to share this story that was posted to Gawker this morning. A gargantuan twenty-two pound Himalayan house cat trapped his family in their bedroom (inlcuding the dog). They family was so terrified of their fluffy kitty that they called 911 and had to be rescued. 

Apparently, the cat scratched the family’s baby. There’s no word on whether or not the baby provoked this by poking, prodding, pulling, stepping on the cat, or any of the other things that small children do to torture pets. All we know is that the baby’s father then kicked the cat. Which was a mistake. The cat went on the warpath, resulting in this (hilarious, sorry!) 911 call.

My favorite part is that the dispatcher had to ask her supervisor if she was able to send help for such a bizarre situation (and that she sounds like she’s going to bust out laughing at any moment).
