Photo Documentary: Reiki 2 at Pasado’s

Last month I taught Reiki 2 class at Pasado’s Safe Haven, and everyone had a great time (both people and animals). It is challenging to try to convey what happens when we visit (even photos don’t tell the whole story), but I will try.

The first photo is of Buford the goat who rested his chin on his buddy Harley’s hip while both received distance Reiki from the students. Buford is elderly, and has aches and pains. Both goats have been long term companions for an elderly female llama who recently passed away. The goats were grieving, so we invited them to participate with us in building a Bridge of Light for their friend, which they appreciated.

As this was my 4th class in a few months of one kind or another at Pasado’s, many of the animals recognized the energy that we carried and were quite interested in flagging us down, lol.

Donkey Babs brayed at us when it looked like we would be passing her by (we were en route to the pigs, but had to stop and offer her and pony Peach Pie some Reiki). And once was not enough—Babs wanted to see us again on our way back! Since she is just the sweetest we could not resist (-:

Highlights:

• all of the cats were very happy to see us, and the shy cats at the Cat House were anything but…while I don’t have photos, they were happily brushing up against each of us;

• the foxhounds (who usually bark at everyone) were mostly quiet, soaking the energy in;

• the turkeys, who usually gobble loudly, crooned to us and were REALLY quiet while receiving Reiki AND one of the feral cats came to oversee what we were doing and opted for some distance Reiki, too.

As the energy spread throughout the grounds there was a sense of peace and not a creature was barking, braying or stirring—and to all we said a contented Reiki good-bye!
